Ultimate Coverage exposed aggregate sealer was developed to be easily applied by spray unit or roller. We understand the frustrations of having your exposed aggregate masterpieces potentially stained and damaged by other trades when you have not had the opportunity to seal immediately after completion. Ultimate Coverage eliminates this problem as you can seal and protect your project as soon as it is dry, saving time and money. Additionally, it boasts improved moisture tolerance when compared to traditional solvent based clear sealers.
Ultimate Coverage can be used on freshly poured exposed aggregate concrete and can be used on both old and new exposed aggregate concrete. Ultimate Coverage is UV resistant and will assist to protect your exposed aggregate from dirt, mould, staining, algae, moss, grime, and oils.
Application Guide
On new exposed aggregate, the area should be thoroughly acid washed at a dilution of 1-part hydrochloric acid to 10 parts water after exposing the aggregate surface with a high pressure cleaner. Using a stiff broom, rub the surface vigorously removing any loosely bound cement/scum and efflorescence. Ensure the surface is thoroughly rinsed clean after this process.
The concrete area must be free of any moisture or contaminants such as grease and oil prior to sealer application.
Apply coating with a solvent resistant sprayer or roller. Ensure Ultimate Coverage is applied without any pooling of sealer, too much sealer applied can result in the surface blistering and bubbling. We recommend two coats of Ultimate Coverage however; one coat will provide sufficient short term surface protection. You must allow a minimum of 8 hours curing time before applying a second coat of Ultimate Coverage Sealer.
